Getting there. Regional S-Bahn and high speed trains run from the airport railway station to Cologne Hauptbahnhof (central station) twice an hour. A single ticket costs 2.10 EUR and the journey takes 18 minutes. From here trains run to Mulheim station, 200 metres from the hotel. Bus line 170 runs 5 times an hour to the centre of Cologne and the Hauptbahnhof. A single ticket cost 5 EUR. Taxis are readily available outside Terminals 1 and 2 and typically cost 15 EUR to the hotel. Prices are subject to change.

Getting around. Cologne city centre is easily explored on foot; Hohe Strasse, Schildergasse and Breite Strasse are pedestrianised, and most of the main attractions cluster around the Altstadt on the Rhine's left bank. All transport facilities (bus, tram, underground, and the RE (RegionalExpress), RB (RegionalBahn), and S (S-Bahn) trains) can be used with transferable tickets (VRS).
